Top Five Best Beaches In Collingwood,
Blue Mountain, and Wasaga Beach
-
Wasaga Beach
Wasaga Beach is located along the southern end of Georgian Bay, and is positioned along 14 kilometers of sandy beach. This beautiful beach is separated into six separate areas, including Beach 1, which is the main centre for attraction. This location offers lots of great shops for you to pick up some clothes, food, or anything else you may need. A new addition to Beach 1 this year includes the Wasaga Beach market, where small trailers are set up , selling food, drinks and other exciting items. This is one area you don’t want to miss!

Sunset Point
Sunset Point is an iconic waterfront location in the town of Collingwood. This area offers expansive green space, volleyball courts, playgrounds, waterfront trails, and lots of fresh air. Although Sunset has a rocky shoreline, there are a variety of flat areas to safely hang out with your family and swim out into the fresh Georgian Bay. After swimming, you can also stop by The Chipper, for some fresh cut fries, ice cream and other yummy foods. All in all, this is an excellent spot to relax for the day.

Northwinds Beach
Located just off Highway 26, and across from the Craigleith Heritage Depot, this beach is a very short drive or cycle to Collingwood and The Blue Mountain area. It is very popular for watersports including kite boarding, windsurfing, and as of late, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. This sandy beach also offers tours with Free Spirit Tours, and Eagle Adventures, and is a popular spot for locals, and visitors.

Allenwood Beach
With excellent swimming and shallow waters for the kids, this beach is located on the east end of Wasaga Beach. This spot offers a sandy beach, picnic areas, parking, and beautiful sunsets which makes it a perfect location to visit. On a sunny, and windy day this spot also becomes known for the windsurfing and kiteboarding! I highly recommend spending at day here!

Blue Mountain Beach Club
Within 10 minutes of The Blue Mountain resorts, this beautiful and private beach is special location for guests of Blue Mountain. As part of the club, you have the opportunity to rent paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes to take out for the day on Georgian Bay.
