Located in the heart of Beaver Valley and Blue Mountain, this vineyard not only offers exceptional qualtiy wine but magnificant views over the Niagara Escarpment and Georgian Bay.  With over 15 years experience of mastering the mico-climate of the vineyard, Geogian Hills offers cold climate hearty white vines such as Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, L’Acadie Blanc and Giesenheim and reds such as Baco Noir, Marechal Foch and Marquette.

Open all year round, 7 days a week from 11-5, you have plenty of opportunity to stop in for a tasting, enjoy a guided, snowshoe tour through the vineyard or one of many summer activities. Georgian Hills offers free delivery, curbside pickup, and free shipping Ontario wide.

Snowshoe around the Georgian Hills vineyards and enjoy the beauty in the winter! Learn about cool climate viticulture and wine making while you taste 5 of our favourite wines.

This experience includes:

0.5km, 1km and 2km trails are ready for you to enjoy!

Snowshoe rental of $10/person and a tasting of our wines or ciders at the Tasting Bar. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes, and enjoy the trails at no charge.

Then cozy up to the Tasting Bar and enjoy a tasting any one of our five wines or ciders for a quintessential Canadian Vineyard experience!

Snowshoeing is available during winery hours. Last admission to the trails is 4pm.

Flat snow boots, ski jacket, hat, gloves and perhaps a scarf are recommended.

Coffin Ridge Winery has the honourable distinction of  being Grey County’s first Winery, with planting beginning in 2001.  Located at the end of the Niagara Escarpment, overlooking Georgian Bay and the islands off Colpoys Bay, Coffin Ridge specializes in Artisanal wines that do well in cold climate and clay soil.  Here you will find the Geisenheim, Maréchel Foch, L’Acadie Blanc, Baco Noir and Marquette varieties.  Many activities are offered including snowshoeing, concerts and author reading series.

The Roost Wine Company is Grey County’s newest winery with grapes planted in 2014. Located within a 20 min drive to Collingwood, this vineyard sits hilltop, close to Ravenna and also offers gorgeous views of the escarpment and Georgian Bay.

Although you can still order on-line or purchase through the LCBO, the tasting room closes for the winter so be sure to stop by in the summer when the growing season is in full swing.

The Beaver Valley Orchard and Cidery is located on the Niagara Escarpment in the heart of the beautiful Beaver Valley, just 5 kms north of Kimberley on the scenic Beaver Valley Road.

Their cidery and tasting room are housed in an historic post and beam century barn that has been respectfully converted to its new purpose. Their cider may be purchased by the glass to enjoy outdoors or in bottles to take away. They also offer a tray of paired artisanal cheeses and complimentary tastings.

Continue your experience with snowshoeing approximately two kilometers of picturesque trails throughout their three orchards.

Choose to return after 1km or complete the entire trail as many times as you’d like. The fire and cyder will be waiting for you.
