Remembrance Day – Honouring Our Local Veterans
Veteran banners are on display throughout Collingwood Downtown honouring the brave men and women who gave everything in defence of their country.
The Veterans Banner program is a project initiated in 2018 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War. The program is supported by The Collingwood Downtown Business Improvement Area, in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63.
Friends and businesses who would like to recognize a veteran purchase a banner by making a $100 donation the Legion’s poppy fund. Details are available on the Collingwood Downtown website – www.collingwooddowntown.com or call – 705-445-5595.
