Free Spirit Tours – Caving at Metcalfe Rock
Snowshoe through the woods to explore some of the Niagara Escarpment’s uniquely formed caves. Once at the caves, take off your snowshoes and enter the caves. At times there will be climbing and maybe even crawling, it’s a whole different world underground! Discover adventure in the caves, no climbing or caving experience necessary. Some physical ability is required and is a great activity for families.
This event runs daily at 9:30am-12:30pm or 1:30-4:30pm.
$75 per participant

Self-Guided Snowshoe Tours in the Vineyard
Snowshoe around the Georgian Hills vineyards and enjoy the beauty in the winter! Learn about cool climate viticulture and wine making while you taste 5 of our favourite wines.
This experience includes:
0.5km, 1km and 2km trails are ready for you to enjoy!
Snowshoe rental of $10/person and a tasting of our wines or ciders at the Tasting Bar. Feel free to bring your own snowshoes, and enjoy the trails at no charge.
Then cozy up to the Tasting Bar and enjoy a tasting any one of our five wines or ciders for a quintessential Canadian Vineyard experience!
Snowshoeing is available during winery hours. Last admission to the trails is 4pm.
Make sure to check in with us at the winery to receive a trail map!
Availability: Every day, from 11:00am – 5:00pm (last admission to trail is at 4:00pm)

Cost: $16 includes snowshoes or $6.00 Bring Your Own Snowshoes. Not to be combined with any other offers. (Wine and cider or charcuterie plates may be ordered extra a la carte.)
Flat snow boots, ski jacket, hat, gloves and perhaps a scarf are recommended.

Highlands Nordic Centre – Cross Country Ski Centre
Join us for March Break Day Camp to enjoy the outdoors! Build shelters, learn how to cross country ski, explore winter on snowshoes, learn mapping skills, make crafts, travel through time to see how maple syrup is made. We will be either skiing or snowshoeing each day.
Ages: 4 to 8
Cost: $250 for the week or $50 a day. Includes a hot lunch, 2 snacks per day and all applicable rental equipment.
Looking for a day out with family or friends? Highland’s Nordic Centre has many activities to offer such as cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, tobogganing, and dog friendly ski hills.

Scenic Caves is full of fun and adventure during the winter months, perfect for a day with family or friends. Experience nature through unique adventures while cross country skiing, snow shoeing, walking the suspension bridge, or having fun at the children’s playground. Enjoy winter at Scenic caves with a day or season pass.

Wasaga Beach Nordic Ski & Trail Centre
Wasaga Beach offers some of the most exciting nordic ski terrain in Central Ontario with over 30 kilometres of groomed trails. Expert skiers can challenge themselves on the High Dunes Trail while beginner skiers can choose the more leisurely Blueberry Trail. The Wasaga Trail Centre offers equipment rentals. Quiet skiers will be rewarded with wildlife viewing such as White-tailed Deer. Check the Ontario Parks Ski Report or call the Wasaga Trail Centre at (705)429-0943 for trail conditions, rental and ski rates and general winter program information.
Snowshoe rentals and a 10 kilometre snowshoe trail are also available.
